Kathy Debiec A native of Roanoke, VA, Kathy moved to Halifax County with her parents and siblings in the early 60’s. She is a graduate of Halifax County High School and worked for the school system for 32 years. Upon her retirement in 2009, she has spent time traveling and enjoying life. She is a past board member of The Halifax Country Club, a Sunday School teacher at Main Street Methodist Church, and is completing her second term as a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church where she and her husband, Jim are active members. . She has two sons and two precious granddaughters. She is also a volunteer at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in the Ortho Joint Camp. She has served on the Social Committee for PBAA and is looking forward to serving as a board member to help further the arts in Halifax County. She and her family members were blessed with many different talents. She got more involved learning different types of media and crafts after the death of her youngest brother as a tribute to him. Her hobbies are traveling, bicycle riding, and spending time in her craft house creating for others.
